This notice explains how PosGear, operated by Al Kays International LLC (Sultanate of Oman), collects and uses your personal data, in line with Oman’s Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022). By placing an order or enquiry, you consent to the processing described here.
What we collect. Your name, email, mobile number, delivery and billing address, the products you order or enquire about, and a payment reference for your order. We do not collect or store your card number.
Why we use it, and our basis. To process and deliver your order, issue your VAT invoice, provide support and warranty service, and — where you have agreed — send you order updates. Our basis is your consent and the performance of your purchase contract.
Who we share it with. The courier (Aramex), so it can deliver your order; the payment gateway (Thawani), to take payment; and the technology providers that host our store and records and route orders between them (Cloudflare, Airtable and Make/Integromat), under data-processing terms. Suppliers who fulfil your order only ever see the masked details needed to ship it — never your full contact or payment data.
Transfers outside Oman. Some of these providers process data on servers located outside the Sultanate of Oman. By using the site and placing an order you consent to this transfer, which we make only to providers who protect your data to an adequate standard.
How long we keep it. We keep order and tax records for the statutory retention period required by Omani law (up to 10 years), so we can honour warranty, VAT and record-keeping obligations. Enquiry-only data that does not become an order is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed.
Security. Payments are processed on Thawani’s secure, PCI-compliant system. We never see or store your card details.
Your rights. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, or withdraw your consent, by emailing posgear@kaysit.com. We respond to verified requests within 45 days and may first ask you to confirm your identity, to protect your data. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority in Oman.
